This weekend Brooke and I kept an eye on Little Buddy to free up his parents to cross some things off their to-do lists. We had all kinds of fun drawing with crayons (“No eat.”), reading books, and my favorite, napping. I like being an uncle.

I just got back from my first trip to Texas. In addition to shooting a fun wedding in San Antonio, I even had time to see the Alamo and visit an old friend in Austin. There was a bit of a weather role reversal as I left a 66-degree Boston for a snow-forecasted Texas. As if […]
I was a guest at Matt and Colleen’s wedding, but I’m glad I also got a chance to hang out with the boys before the ceremony. The talented Connie Miller did the heavy lifting on this one though. You can see the ladies getting ready and the rest of her beautiful record of the day […]
Heather and Tom met me at 6:15 a.m. for an engagement shoot. We didn’t know which was more absurd, that people were exercising at that hour, or that we were taking pictures. As painful as it can be initially, I love that time of day. And it was wonderful spending it with Heather and Tom […]
Photographing in the city is fun, but it’s sometimes nice to mix things up and find a quiet place. I’m glad Ari and Ben suggested Walden Pond. None of us had been before, at least not as adults, and I really enjoyed the blank page this new place provided. Making pictures is the reason for […]
Brooke and I felt bad that Mark and Meagan’s beautiful guest room wasn’t seeing as much traffic as the rest of the house. So, we went down to Dennis for the night. We had a great time eating, drinking and storytelling. I can’t wait for the guest room to get lonely again.
Courtney and Chris won’t be living in the North End forever. So, we decided it would be a good idea to record them in a place they’ve felt lucky to call home. We wandered the small streets and even explored past Haymarket and onto the Common. Although they’ll miss the great food and neighborhood feel […]
A couple of weeks ago I went up to New Hampshire to spend some time at the Salem Fire Department’s Station #1 for AOL Living’s Real People Real Kitchens. There are more photos and words from this fun assignment here.
