Kelsey and Sahil

I showed up early to Kelsey and Sahil’s backyard wedding in Mansfield, and it was quiet. No one was running around putting finishing touches on anything because everything was done. Kelsey did her own make up and even helped out others with theirs. Everyone was so relaxed (or at least appeared that way). The tone […]

Anne and Michael

Anne and Michael got married in their Dennis, Mass. backyard. Their relationship has faced long distances and a terminal illness. In spite of this or maybe because of it they have a unique and beautiful relationship. I loved seeing old friends interact and hearing hilarious stories during a touching set of speeches. I loved photographing this wedding. […]

No Kid Hungry

Earlier the summer I took a couple of trips to Richmond and the D.C. area for No Kid Hungry. You can’t beat working for this organization. The people I get to be around are always inspiring, and their first step to the infinitely complicated problem of inequality is so simple and immediately effective: Breakfast.

Angie and Robert

Angie and Robert traveled all the way from Puerto Rico to get married at the Chatham Bars Inn. The wedding was pleasantly small and intimate, but the dance floor had as much energy as a wedding twice its size. Such a beautiful day. Congratulations, Angie and Robert!

Summer

Ellis loves the summer. I’m a little worried about how he is going to handle winter when his clothes have to go back on. Even though this is my busiest time of year, I’d like to pat myself on the back for working hard and efficiently during business hours while still spending lots of time at […]

Carolyn and Tom

Carolyn and Tom were married at the Popponesset Inn. New Seabury is a special place for Carolyn’s family, and I loved photographing on this little patch of Cape Cod not only because of its beauty but for its significance to Carolyn and Tom. I had so many favorite moments from this wedding day. Congrats, guys!

Elizabeth and Jim

Did you know that if you bury a bottle of bourbon at your wedding venue it guarantees perfect weather? This southern tradition worked for Elizabeth and Jim at OceanCliff in Newport. Or maybe the universe was just rewarding them for being so darn nice. Regardless, I feel lucky to know these two and wish them the […]

Katie and Ryan

Every wedding is a little different, but the finale of Katie and Ryan’s wedding at the Museum of Science was quite different. I had never seen a couple sign a waiver, apply ear protection and then step inside a large bird cage that would be the only barrier between them and a massive bolt of electricity. I also loved […]

Laura and Dustin

You might remember Laura and Dustin from their engagement session last fall. There was a little more sun and warmth compared to that November day.  In fact, the day was beautiful all around. The historic Church of the Covenant and the Taj Hotel provided a stunning background to such a special gathering of Laura and Dustin’s loved ones. One […]

CJP Goes Commercial

In March, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with mcgarrybowen on a Jeweler’s Mutual ad campaign in Austin. The shoot was just like an engagement session . . .  that lasted two days and involved 10 people : ) The couples were patient and delightful to work with. I loved collaborating with creative director Nako Okubo, and I […]
