Not Just a Mom

To be in a position to take care of others, you need to take care of yourself first. When not at work, Brooke is either responding to Ellis’ needs or to those of her bearded adult baby who also needs attention. If she’s lucky, she might get an episode or two of The Mindy Project each night where nobody is asking anything of her. So, I was glad to see her find clothes not covered in spit-up and go out with a friend to experience a life where no one demands anything of her. She really benefited without missing anything at home. Ellis and I were there with all our needs when she returned.
