Last month we made the annual trip to Emerald Isle, NC. I think this was the 31st summer my family and two others have spent the week together on the same stretch of sand. A few years ago one of Brooke’s best friends coincidentally moved to the area. So, we now spend more than a week down in paradise. Taking out Mike and Nicole’s boat to the sand bars during the day and out to watch the fireworks at night was one of my favorite parts.
