If you ask me, the best light of the day is at sunrise. But, when I told Patty and Anthony that 6:30 a.m. would be a possible time to do their engagement portraits, I didn’t expect them to think that was a good idea. I’m lucky they did. Not only were Patty and Anthony absolutely delightful to be around, but it might be a little while before I can find another couple to get up that early with me. I think it paid off.
Waking up before the sun also means you have a good chance of eating breakfast at The Paramount before the line is out the door. By the time the rest of Boston was waking up, the three of us were starving and needed some sausage and french toast to help get our second wind.
Patty and Anthony live in Dallas but decided to do their engagement portraits in Boston for something a little different. Anthony has been working here for the past few months, and they have grown to love the city. They still love Texas, of course, and were so thoughtful to bring me a gift basket with all their favorite things from back home: Stubb’s BBQ sauce, chili mix, salsa, sweet tea, and even a cowboy hat wall-hanger.
Looks like I’m going to have to get me a cowboy hat : )

Channing - Thanks, Myndi! Patty and Anthony also brought a lot of enthusiasm and energy for that early in the morning. They were offering as many suggestions as I was, many of which ended up being my favorite pictures. i.e. the shadow picture and the “Hollywood kiss” in the steam.April 7, 2009 – 9:50 am
