So far Brooke and I have put together an album for every one of our three years together. This is usually a painful experience as I dominate the process with my tyrannical editing practices. We’ve never finished a book without at least one of us crying.
I’ve softened up a little over the years, however. It’s ok if not every picture tells a story. Sometimes narrative takes a back seat to a record of how cute you looked.
Nothing wrong with that.

Steven - This is an awesome tradition! We have plenty of pictures on hard drives and in binders that don’t get touched. I make plenty of albums for everyone else. Your post helps me realize that I need to make my own.March 27, 2009 – 8:31 am
timg - I love this idea Channing. Jenn and I do a very similar thing except it’s a little multimedia piece. A print book sounds fantastic though.
As for editing you can never go wrong with cute just don’t let anyone back at Mizzou know. :)March 21, 2009 – 1:34 pm
Sara - NOW you are ready to get married. You’ve demonstrated through your annual photo project, that you have learned the lessons of compromise in a relationship. Can’t wait to toast to it officially. . .soon. Love, Your Domineering Older Sister.March 20, 2009 – 8:16 am
Courtney - Channing-
I’m not getting married yet, I’m not engaged, I’m not even in a relationship; but I would like to book you now for my wedding…whenever it will be. I’ve been following your work for a few months and I just want to say how beautiful your shots are. I greatly admire your work and the couples who have had you as their photographer are very lucky to have found you.
